1958

Dr. William B. Walsh founded Project HOPE in the USA. Since then Project HOPE has been offering medical assistance activities in more than 30 counties all over the world.

1987

HOPE's founder, Dr. Walsh received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

1997

Established as a national organization of Project HOPE. Project HOPE Japan started health assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina

1998

Opened Thailand office and started HOPE partner program in the northern part of Thailand.

1999

Received NPO status from the Cabinet Office (then Economic and Planning Agency), Government of Japan.
Opened Indonesia office for Oral hygiene program.

2000

Offered medical training support to Rumania.

2001

Started feasibility study in Cambodia.
Received Certified NPO status from the National Tax Agency, Government of Japan.

2004

Opened Cambodia office.
Started Maternal and Child Health project in Indonesia and Cambodia.

2005

Received Certified NPO status from the National Tax Agency, Government of Japan.(2nd extension)

2006

Became independent from Project HOPE and changed its name to PH-Japan Foundation.
